Welcome

Founded in 1961, the Utah Shakespeare Festival presented its first season in 1962, and fifteen years later the first non-Shakespeare performance was introduced.

Since then, the Utah Shakespeare Festival has performed many nationally acclaimed plays and musicals.  In the past fifty-five years it has grown from one theatre with three plays a season to three theaters with nine productions scheduled for the 2017 season.

The focus of this exhibit is to show the continued evolution and changing interpretations of Shakespeare's works over the years at the Utah Shakespeare Festival.  For ease of access, plays can be found in the “Plays” section or with their corresponding genre, at the top of the screen.
