1 #utawesome – Utah Is Awesome
This mural was created by artist Derek Walker who was born and raised in Cedar City. Studying at Southern Utah University Derek earned both a bachelor’s degree in Design and an MBA finishing in 2006.
Now living away from the land of his birth the color scheme for this work is based on Derek’s love for the red rock country of southern Utah. He and his wife Harmony have traveled ALL over the state and though this remains his favorite corner of Utah they find beauty everywhere they go. Derek and Harmony chronicle their travels using the hashtag #utawesome and encourage other visitors to this great state to share their highlights using this tag as well, because… Utah is awesome.
