The Merry Wives of Windsor (2018)
Disguises, misadventure and schemes enter the scene as Sir John Falstaff decides to seduce Mrs. Ford and Mrs. Page.
The Wives
After Mistress Page and Mistress Ford receive love letters from Sir John Falstaff, they combine forces and hatch a plot to embrass him.
The Laundry Basket
After Mistress Ford lures Falstaff into her home, he learns that her husband is returning. Out of fear, Falstaff hides in a laundry basket, Mistress Ford orders her servants to dump basket and all into the muddy river.
Ann and Fenton
As is to be expected in a love story opposites attract when Anne Page, the model of virtue, and Fenton, the poster-boy for the prodigal son, fall in love, and against the wishes of her parents secretly marry.
Master Ford
Known to be “mad as a mad dog”, and a jealous type, Ford is a man of property convinces Falstaff to compromise his wife. Ford discovers his folly and helps Mrs. Ford humiliate Falstaff in the final Herne-the-Hunter episode.
The Fairy Forest
In their final attempt to humiliate Falstaff, Mistress Page, Mistress Ford and their husbands trick him into meeting them in Windsor forest. Once there and dressed as “Herne the Hunter” he’s attacked by town folk dressed as "fairies".
