Twelfth Night (2019)
A love triangle at its most complicated. Hidden identity, misunderstanding and politics come into play when hearts run wild.
After being shipwrecked on a foreign shore and believing her twin brother, Sebastian, to be dead, Viola disguises herself as a man named Cesearo and finds employment in the court of Duke Orsino.
The Duke is madly in love with Olivia, who, having recently lost her father and brother, has sworn off love and marriage until seven years have passed. Orsino uses Cesearo as an intermediary to woo Olivia.
Cesearo and Olivia
When Viola, as Cesearo, comes to woo Olivia on behalf of Duke Orsino, Olivia falls madly in love with Cesearo (Viola).
Malvolio, Olivia's steward, is tricked into believing that Oliva is in love with him by means of a letter written as if in Olivia's hand. It tells Malvolio to constantly smile and wear yellow stockings cross-gartered, which he does. Olivia thinks he's gone insane and allows his tormentors to lock up him.
Sebastian, who survived the shipwreck, comes to town, and eventually the twins come face to face. Viola is revealed to be a woman, and everything works out for the lovers in the end.
